Lane Crawford is proud to present the BYREDO fragrance collection. Founded in 2006 by Ben Gorham, BYREDO has quickly become a reputable brand globally. Known for its understated approach and simple composition, BYREDO is making fragrances with the highest quality ingredients available in Europe.  BYREDO is debuting at Lane Crawford with a wide range of home candles, fragrances, handbags and small leather goods from the Nécessaire de Voyage collection.

Ben has always been fascinated by the world of fragrances, and the scents that evoke his memories, including places from his childhood, specific moments of his life and important events in the world. He would then work closely with his perfumer, Pierre Wulff, to translate his ideas into a fragrance. For instance, BYREDO’s latest perfume, Rose of No Man’s Land, is a tribute to the nurses who saved thousands of lives on the front lines of World War I, for their selflessness and compassion.

“Personally, I like Palermo a lot; it is a soft fragrance that I could wear all day long. Its smell is composed of grapefruits, bergamot, and lime with lots of musky notes. I like the fact it is so simple and at the same time, very elegant,” said Ben Gorham.

BYREDO is exclusively available at Lane Crawford ifc mall and online at Lanecrawford.com, and will be available in Lane Crawford Times Square starting from October 16.

Lane Crawford is proud to present Mellerio, the oldest French Jewellery House of grand tradition, for the first time in Hong Kong during a three-week exhibition at Lane Crawford ifc mall. From now until Oct 4, the exhibition is staged at the newly refurbished Womenswear department and Jewellery Salon, featuring a poetic universe of jewellery creations from historical pieces to contemporary collections.

The exhibition is curated in five themes: Mellerio and Royal Clients, Naturalism, Fashion, Stones and Symbols. It recounts the most important moments of the oldest Jewellery House in the world, while demonstrating the avant-gardism of their creations throughout these past 400 years.

One of the highlights of the exhibition is the capsule collection designed in collaboration with the new generation Couture Designer Alexandre Vauthier. Marked by Mellerio’s unique link with the fashion industry and exemplifying the French House’s modernised codes of graphic and geometrical design, the collection features a carefully curated ensemble of transformable pieces, with utmost styling flexibility and a strong personality of both creative forces behind.

On Sept 17, Mr Eric Berti, Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau joined Gilles Haumont, Chief Executive Officer of Mellerio dits Meller, and Couture Designer Alexandre Vauthier to celebrate the exhibition at Lane Crawford ifc mall.

In celebration of Lane Crawford’s 165th anniversary, Jin Chong Yu, half of the celebrated design duo behind the JINNNN label, was commissioned to create an installation based on his thoughts of the future.

Graduated from École  de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne in Paris, Chinese designer Jin Chong Yu launched his label JINNNN with his partner Les Suen when he returned to Shanghai in 2014, and his confident style and attitude has attracted a loyal following ever since. In his “JINNNN bus to the future” installation, his seasonal campaign videos are showcased alongside his AW15 collection exclusively available in Lane Crawford.

JINNNN’s Autumn Winter 2015 collection takes inspiration from traditional patterns, colors, and hand-embroidery techniques by Chinese Miao ethnic minority group. Chinese elements are reinterpreted and reconstructed by the designer into a modern lifestyle that integrates street fashion.
