Stella McCartney celebrated the arrival of its latest Spring 2011 Collection and the exclusive launch of Stella McCartney Kids Collection with a special cocktail event on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at its Landmark Boutique. The occasion attracted Hong Kong’s hip and fashionable mothers and children who were keen to be the first to shop the latest collections.
Numerous fun elements were infused into the event to ensure a unique experience for attending guests and customers. The boutique has been transformed into a wonderland for children as well as adults with unique visual set-up featuring candy-filled jars, clusters of metallic balloons as well as customized animal-shaped fixtures showcasing designs from the children collection. Throughout the afternoon, guests enjoyed colourful and delectable cookie-lollipops, customized cupcakes, cotton candy and mini ice-cream cones.

BLACK LTD Edition, launched by entrepreneur Alejandro Alcocer, is under the Day Dreamer Projects umbrella, which includes Green Catering, Brown Café, and Orange Épicerie. Each company under the Day Dreamer Projects shares Alejandro’s social conscience, as well as his need to collaborate with and support local communities.
For BLACK LTD Edition, Alejandro sources well-maintained vintage Rolex watches with the patina that reflects their age. Working with a Rolex trained watchmaker in Geneva, the watches are bed blasted to deep clean. They are then sent to the States to be put through a PDV coating process. Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) has been around for decades primarily in medical and military applications originally designed to decrease friction wear on metal parts. It bonds a micron thick layer of metal compounds to metal and other materials to create a black matte finish. Diamond Like Coating (DLC) is also applied to increase strength. PVD and DLC coated watches will continue to increase in value with time.
BLACK LTD. Edition will only be releasing 50 watches, of each sport model, that Rolex released before 1990, and Lane Crawford will launch the one-and-only 18th edition of seven sport models, including Explorer, GMT Master, Submariner and Sea Dweller, at Lane Crawford ifc mall on December 2, 2010. As part of Lane Crawford’s 160th anniversary, Reebok is launching a special collaboration of the iconic Insta Pump Fury shoe.
The bright and bold pink and yellow colours on the outside of the shoe represent Hong Kong’s famous city skyline in the night of the big city while the green scale pattern inside and at the outsole is inspired by the giant dragon and spirit of Hong Kong.
Launched in 1994, the Insta Pump Fury emphasised Reebok’s unique Pump technology. Designed as a laceless runner, the Insta Pump Fury featured an eye-catching full length exoskeleton Pump technology that enveloped, embraced and supported the entire foot while eliminating laces, it is one of the most popular iconic models till now.
The shoe is set to launch on December 2, 2010at all four Lane Crawford stores as part of the official 160th anniversary celebration day and is retailed at HKD$1299.
