Parrot, a leader in wireless peripherals for mobile phones, is revealing its latest digital photo frame: DIA, a mysterious object developed in collaboration with Jean-Louis Frechin, founder of nodesign agency.


With digital technology, we quickly pass from photo to photo. Taken either with a camera or a mobile phone, digital photos are as fragile as sands of time, and yet we rarely take the time to watch them. We sometimes share them via SMS or e-mail, but we never really see them.


Sharing the same love for photos, Herni Seydoux and Jean-Louis Frechin are convinced by the relevance of the digital photo frame in this age, and both stand strong on the belief that object should be thought of as a piece of “furniture” for which design is essential.

The company was founded in Newport, Rhode Island by Scottish-born Dr. William Hunter in 1752.  His location in the bustling trade centre enabled the doctor to procure the finest ingredients the world had to offer.  Hunter used his medical expertise to formulate personal care and medicinal preparations for a discerning, devoted clientele.


Ownership of Dr. Hunter’s Apothecary, as it was originally known, transferred through apprenticeship for the majority of its history, with each retiring pharmacist handing over the keys and expertise to his apprentice.  The company took its present name in 1876 when then-owner John Rose Caswell became partners with New York businessman William Massey.

Reebok x Ryan McGinness




Reebok and artist Ryan McGinness have joined forces to produce a new footwear range for the global sports brand’s Affili’Art Collection.


Created in 2008, the Affili’Art Collection fuses the worlds of art, fashion and classic Reebok sportswear by partnering with cutting-edge artists.


The Spring/Summer 2011 Reebok Affili’Art Collection sees the introduction of New York based artist, Ryan McGinness – known for his iconographic, densely layered paintings, sculptures and installations. Ryan has injected his provocative use of colour, texture and inspiration from his daily life into the collection.


Starting with the ‘CMYK’ shoe, Ryan took inspiration from his daily activities to create this shoe which integrates tools that Ryan utilizes during his workday. Often working with the printing process colours of CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black), this shoe is designed to house a set of CMYK ink markers in special loops on the collar of the shoes. Additionally, to accommodate the ins and outs of a non-stop workday, a strategically placed zipper runs down the length of the tongue to allow for easy on/off of the shoe.
