Pringle of Scotland is one of the oldest names of the Scottish borders, the birthplace of the British knitwear industry. Founded in 1815 by Robert Pringle, it is the original brand to introduce knitwear as outerwear; and it was also one of the first brands to knit with cashmere.

To celebrate its 200th anniversary, Pringle is inviting customers to experience its innovations through participating in the customisation of knitwear for the first time. A fully interactive digital platform, Pringle Deconstructed, has been designed to facilitate customer to personalise a cashmere jumper in its signature argyle pattern or classic twinset to their exact specifications - from size, colour and shape, to the unique monogram and logo placement.

            

The customised knitwear will be available in six to eight weeks time (Retail price: HKD5,800 to HKD13,000).

Lane Crawford is proud to unveil its next-generation flagship store at ifc mall in Hong Kong. A new 6,000 square foot space has been re-imagined as four uniquely created rooms which will constantly evolve to showcase a divine curation of extraordinary fashion and fine jewellery.

 

“With unique access and insight into the world of leading designers and style influencers, the Lane Crawford experience at the next-generation flagship store is an elevated encounter of personal discovery and inspired creativity,” says Joanna Gunn, Chief Brand Officer, Lane Crawford.

This next generation of retail experience was created in collaboration with Yabu Pushelberg, the renowned firm with whom Lane Crawford has cultivated some of the most innovative stores in Greater China.  The space uses customised bespoke finishes in rich leather, textured oak, glass laminated wire mesh, and copper to appeal to all the senses.

 


Each room will be co-curated and regularly transformed by international designers, and Lane Crawford’s talented team of buyers and creatives, reflecting a new “total look” experience that transcends the boundaries of product categories.

 

 

Two rooms were exclusively curated by The Row designers Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, who made a personal appearance at the new flagship on July 8, 2015 to introduce their Autumn Winter 2015 collection alongside their handpicked selection of art, shoes and jewelleries.



Presenting insightful journeys into the worlds of fashion icons, another room launches with one of our most beloved designers, Azzedine Alaïa, displaying beautifully crafted leathers and one-off exotic pieces, and the exclusive launch of the brand’s very first scent Alaïa Paris on July 15, 2015.


 

A new room dedicated to occasion dressing showcases Lane Crawford’s modern approach to cocktail dresses, evening gowns and bridal wear.  One-off pieces by Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Valentino and Victoria Beckham are displayed here. For the first time, Lane Crawford is also offering made-to-order services from emerging designers, including Dice Kayek, Esteban Cortazar, Rosie Assoulin and Delpozo Bridal.

 

 

The enticing Jewellery Salon pays tribute to leading jewellery maisons, such as Buccellati, and presents the next generation of fine jewellery designers, including Delfina Delettrez and Repossi.  Throughout the year, customers have the opportunity to meet designers in this intimate setting.  On July 16, 2015, we welcome Milan-based Spanish designer Cristina Ortiz. 


Lane Crawford has also tapped music’s new wunderkinds Mimi Xu and Rosey Chan of Carnet de Voyage to produce a soundtrack with their distinctive musical style of classical electronic to complement the new space.

An expanded Ladies’ Shoes, Bags and Accessories space will launch in mid-August 2015 with over 300 international, designer and contemporary brands. There, a room named The Market Place will introduce our favourite fashion jewellery brands, such as Anabela Chan, Campbell, Pamela Love, and Phyne by Paige Novick; and an artistically illuminated footbridge will exhibit a new vintage offering of luxurious handbags, watches and jewellery sourced from around the world, including rare vintage Chanel and Hermès.

 


A Platinum Suite of unprecedented luxury has been designed as a series of gracious living rooms, providing the perfect place to enjoy personal styling, meet esteemed designers, and indulge in champagne, fine wines and canapés in total privacy.

LANE CRAWFORD OPENS CHINA FLAGSHIP STORE IN SHANGHAI

CREATING THE ULTIMATE LUXURY FASHION AND LIFESTYLE DESTINATION


 

Hong Kong (October 10, 2013) - Lane Crawford, the iconic, luxury department store, opens the doors of its China flagship store in Shanghai on October 10, providing customers with a one-stop luxury fashion and lifestyle destination in the heart of the city.

 

Located in Shanghai’s Times Square at 99 Huai Hai Zhong Road, the new store encompasses 150,000 square feet (approximately 14,000 square metres) over four floors, with 500 international brands across women’s fashion, beauty and fine jewellery, menswear and home and lifestyle.

 

It is the most extensive international luxury and designer brand portfolio available in Greater China.

 

The store represents an RMB 400 million investment and is the largest store in Lane Crawford’s portfolio, which now totals eight stores in Greater China.

 

“Lane Crawford is invested in creating the future of global retail, in the market of the future,” Andrew Keith, President, Lane Crawford said.

 

“Global retail leadership is now coming from China, and the China customer is at the forefront of fashion. We set out to create the ultimate luxury fashion and lifestyle destination – the largest selection of luxury brands in an innovative, highly visual space, offering world-class service at a scale never before seen in Shanghai,” he said.

 

The Shanghai store was designed in collaboration with leading international architecture firm Yabu Pushelberg, who have worked with Lane Crawford on four previous stores. The store’s design has taken on a modern gallery approach to retail, enabling Lane Crawford to create dynamic, inspiring and ever-evolving environments throughout.

 

Mr Keith said the unique collection of products was selected by a buying team of 85 experts based on a deep personal understanding of their Chinese customers and close relationships they have with brand partners globally. Featured brands range from international designers including Alexander McQueen, Givenchy, Lanvin, Saint Laurent Paris to new generation designers including Alexander Wang and Sacai, and contemporary collections including Alice & Olivia and the introduction of J. Crew in China.

“When we opened our first store in Beijing in 2007, we introduced more than 300 new international brands to China for the first time. In Shanghai we’re building on that portfolio with greater depth, and driving innovation through an elevated service proposition that includes specialist personalised services not seen before in this market,” Mr Keith said.

 

More than 20,000 square feet (approximately 1,800 square metres) of the store has been dedicated to personalised services in beauty, fashion and lifestyle conducted in luxurious, private styling areas for a unique, tailor-made experience for customers and delivered by 65 stylists and concierge staff.

 

As part of Lane Crawford’s connected commerce strategy, the Shanghai flagship store and Lane Crawford’s online store are completely connected to provide a seamless shopping experience both in store and at home. Customers can order online and collect or return their orders at a special Online Shopping Concierge in the store, which is another first in the market.

 

Another 3,000 square feet (app. 278 square metres) is designated for creative displays and specifically, a space called The Hub aims to showcase and support emerging creative talent in fashion, art and design, by showcasing their work in the heart of the store.

 

“We’re incredibly excited about the creativity originating in China and we wanted to offer new talent the platform to create and collaborate, while giving them exposure to a broader audience,” Mr Keith said.

 

Lane Crawford has also bought into the collections of three China fashion designers, Helen Lee, Ms Min and Chictopia, which are highlighted in the Hub and on the womenswear floor, while the retailer’s Fashion Director mentors them on structuring businesses that can ultimately expand internationally.

 

Mr Keith concluded, “Lane Crawford has a long history in China and particularly Shanghai. Since the company opened its first store here on Nanjing Road in 1872, the city has been an important part of our heritage and we are thrilled to be back in the heart of Shanghai.”

香港(20131010日)- 著名奢侈品百貨公司連卡佛於1010開設其迄今在中國最大的旗艦店,為消費者在上海提供一個奢侈時尚和生活方式終點站。

 

上海旗艦店位于淮海中路99號的上海時代廣場,面積達150,000平方英尺(14,000平方米),合共四層。旗艦店將滙聚500多個國際品牌,當中包括女裝、美容、珠寶首飾、男裝以及生活方式等商品組合。

LANE CRAWFORD TO OPEN CHINA FLAGSHIP STORE IN SHANGHAI

 

Lane Crawford, the iconic, luxury department store, will open its largest store to date in China this September, creating the first and only multi-brand fashion and lifestyle destination in the heart of Shanghai. 

Set over four floors with a total of 150,000 square feet, Lane Crawford will offer more than 500 brands, the most extensive luxury and designer fashion, beauty and lifestyle brand portfolio in China. In addition, customers can expect innovative new dining concepts as well as highly personalised and unrivalled services delivered through an unforgettable in-store experience.

The Store and The Experience
Renowned for its reputation of offering a unique shopping and leisure experience in each of its locations, Lane Crawford Shanghai Times Square has created a unique space for the community called The Hub which has a monthly programme of activities ranging from art installations, exhibitions, curated pop ups, lectures and workshops with different partners including brands, artists and designers to offer an ever changing, inspiring experience.

Also located on the ground floor, is the largest beauty destination on the mainland at 32,000 square feet, offering more than 30 brands including Fresh, La Mer and YSL Beauté. Dedicated to an innovative and inspiring beauty shopping experience, this emporium will feature a Cosmetic Concierge to cater to all beauty needs, hair salon and nail bar by Il Colpo Group and a series of private cabines with specialised beauty services and treatments for customers to relax and indulge in.
 
On the first floor, customers will find themselves surrounded by the most extensive range of designer ladies’ shoes and accessories in Greater China. Spanning 25,000 square feet, it will offer more than 250 brands spread over five dedicated areas featuring the most sought after international designer shoes and handbags from across the globe, including Alaïa, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin, Givenchy, Lanvin, Saint Laurent Paris, Valentino; the hottest contemporary brands such as Alexander Wang, Marc by Marc Jacobs, McQ, Pedder Red, Sam Edelman, See by Chloé, Stuart Weitzman and Tory Burch, casual chic footwear and children’s shoes, a unique accessories department offering a wide array of fashion jewellery, sunglasses, scarves and fur from designer brands, and BLITZ, a unique space to showcase monthly collaborations with partners from the world of international arts, fashion and lifestyle.
 
The ladies’ shoes and accessories department will also bring in a number of exclusive styles from brands such as Aquatalia, Comme des Garçons, Frye, Rag & Bone and Sandro. New brands that will be available in Lane Crawford Shanghai Times Square include Bottega Veneta, Charlotte Olympia, Elizabeth & James, Gianvito Rossi, Haider Ackermann and Proenza Schouler.

The fine jewellery department will also sit on this floor with brands including H. Stern, Pomellato, 1967 by Pomellato, Samuel Kung and Tasaki.

The womenswear department on the second floor will feature the most extensive fashion collections in China. The floor will offer a global edit of designer and contemporary fashion from more than 80 brands including Alaïa, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Erdem, Givenchy, J.Crew, Jason Wu, Lanvin, Prabal Gurung, Preen, Thakoon, Notte by Marchesa, Valentino, Victoria Beckham and Saint Laurent Paris. New and exclusive to Lane Crawford are UK brand Whistles and Each x Other, an exclusive collection by renowned artist Yi Zhou.

The Shanghai Times Square store will be the first Lane Crawford store to launch the womenswear collections of three emerging Chinese contemporary designers; Chictopia by Christine Lau, Helen Lee by Helen Lee, and Ms Min by Liu Min.
The top floor has been designed for the discerning gentleman looking for anything from a flawlessly tailored suit to the perfect polo. This ultimate one-stop destination for men will feature more than 50 brands from modern tailoring and international designer brands such as Alexander McQueen, Armani Collezioni, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Givenchy and Lanvin. Contemporary labels including Attachment, Band of Outsiders, Canada Goose, Danward, Denham, Engineered Garments, Grifoni, J Brand, Kitsune, Kolor, Prps and Sunspel, will be exclusively available at Lane Crawford Shanghai Times Square.

The men’s shoes and sccessories department will occupy 5,000 square feet and will be divided into four key areas featuring international designer brands, modern classic design as well as the latest contemporary & lifestyle accessories, all featuring a wide range of the most sought-after brands in fashion including Balenciaga, Bottega Veneta, Comme Des
Garçons, Givenchy, Jimmy Choo, and Paul Smith.
 
A highly edited selection of handpicked luxury gadgets and watches will also be on offer from brands such as Breitling, U-Boat and Welder, as well as Vertu phones.
 
Home and Lifestyle will offer a definitive edit of designer furniture and lifestyle accessories from more than 100 brands such as Agresti, Dyson, Frette and Rimowa, with Crânatomie, De Nacre et d'Orient, Kasbah Mod, Society, The Rug Company, L’Objet, Ichiban, Egizia, Rogaška, Mepra and Riva being exclusively available at Lane Crawford Shanghai Times Square.
